Save The Date: Saturday June 20 & Sunday June 21, 2020 1-5pm
We have just started planning for the 6th annual Poughkeepsie Open Studios event that will take place the weekend of June 20-21, Father's Day weekend and the I Love NY Path Through History weekend.
Much has happened around Poughkeepsie since last year's event and the Poughkeepsie landscape has changed considerably. The website will be updated weekly over the next few months, so stay tuned. Remnants of the 2019 event remain on the website for the time being for those looking to reminisce.
Artist Registration for 2020 is now open, through May 1
This weekend is open to artists in the Poughkeepsie area including the City of Poughkeepsie, the Town of Poughkeepsie, and immediately adjacent areas. Click here for participation information and to register.
Poughkeepsie Open Studios is a free, self-guided tour of the Poughkeepsie, New York area.
Visit private working artist studios, temporary "pop-up" artist spaces and gallery exhibits, nestled in and around the historic buildings of our City. Plan adequate time for some poetry, literature, history, food, historical tours, artistic demonstrations and public participation activities.

This is an opportunity to interact personally with artists who live, work, or teach in our area, and to find out more about their inspirations, their creative processes, and the types of media they employ. While in the area, take time to experience the rich history and the broad cultural diversity of our community.
Poughkeepsie Open Studios is hosted by the Barrett Art Center, home of the Dutchess County Art Association, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to fostering an appreciation of arts in the Mid-Hudson valley through exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and demonstrations. This event is produced by an all-volunteer committee, partnering with our local artists, arts organizations, art galleries, and businesses.
